So you're making your plans for the summer. You're thinking "I'd like to go away for a bit with my wife/husband/lover to a fun spot where we can maybe be by the ocean with lots of fun/cool/romantic restaurants and time to sit in the sun and feel the breeze on your face with your eyes closed and lifted up to the sky." Well think no more and book your trip to Cape Cod where you can find ME until September. I'll be doing "Short Stack" by Rolin Jones, "The Mistakes Madeline Made" by Elizabeth Meriwether, and "Sexual Perversity in Chicago" by David Mamet. It's a 5 hour drive from New York (slightly farther from Texas) but a great place to vacation and see your old pal Jonathan who will happily buy you a Sam Adams and a bowl of clam chowder. I've already got verbal reservations from my parents, Amanda Doskocil, Evan Mueller and Jamie Benge (I'm holding you all to it) not to mention Brendan Hughes and Jeff Zinn (you better be there damnit). Don't be left out.

This month has already yielded some exciting work. At the end of May I go to Texas for the Amphibian reading of Lonely Planet by Steven Dietz. It will be held at the Scott Theater and is part of the More Life Festival in conjunction with the Fort Worth Opera's Angels in America. It's a pretty big deal and if you are in Fort Worth and have seen my work or anything Amphibian has done, please come see it. It's the play that got me into grad school! Carman Lacivita is in it with me and it's been forever since we've been on stage together.

Next month I go to Cape Cod and the Wellfleet Harbor Actor's Theater for three shows directed by our pal Brendan Hughes. More info on those very soon.

The reading of "First Person Shooter" was a lot of fun. I got to meet some new actors who were really great as well as attend "Next Leap", amphibian's annual fundraiser. It also was a good time. Got to meet Jomar Tagatac who introduced me to Rickrolling as well as awesome playwright Aaron Loeb. I'll be returning for a reading of Lonely Planet by Steven Dietz with fellow frog and scarlet knight Carman Lacivita. It'll be fun to hop and joust around in Texas with him for a while.

Just got back from Louisville, Kentucky from the Humana Festival with Kathleen and Melissa. I'm kinda zonked but the weekend was a blast and I saw some awesome theater and met some great people. Highlights for me were Becky Shaw, the break/s, and seeing my friend Reyna de Courcy in Neighborhood 3: Requisition of Doom. The last piece was a fitting tie for my next project with the 'phibs, First Person Shooter.

I haven't posted lately on fieldingonline.com mostly because I haven't had too much to discuss but yesterday I participated in a reading of Theresa Rebeck's unpublished play "The Understudy". Not sure what I can say about who's producing or artistic team on it but I got to meet Theresa who just so happens to be my neighbor in Park Slope! She was very kind and funny and I'm excited about this play and it's future life. It's about an actor who shows up for his first understudy rehearsal in the Broadway production of a newly unearthed Kafka play. This being a big hit Broadway show, there are of course two action movie stars playing the leads and the play deals with our industries' constant expectation and rejection in our jobs, our relationships, and our art. That's sounds a bit cerebral but the play is super funny and touching and I suppose we'll just wait and see what happens next with it!

Pygmalion has come and gone and now it's back to the humdrum of New York city life. It's certainly helped with getting auditions but I'm unhappily staring at the bleak reality of returning to waiting tables. On the good side, my girlfriend Amanda has moved near me in Park Slope. I'm very happy to have her here.

I saw Carman in Cyrano this week and he was wonderful. So was Stephen Balancian and Kate Guyton, actors whom I've met since coming to New York. The production was a definite success and I'm certain Kevin will be nominated for the best actor Tony. It was a beautiful production and for pictures you can go to the Amphibian Blog and see for your self.

I've been having so many problems with Blogger. So sorry I've not posted in a while but it certainly isn't from lack of trying!

I'm the guest amphiblogger on Amphibian's website for this month which should go into pretty good detail about what's been happening with Pygmalion. Had a fun audition last week for Kathleen Turner for an understudy gig on Crimes of the Heart for Roundabout. Pretty sure I didn't get it but it was fun to meet her all the same. My show is over in a week which saddens me but I'm afraid it's on to something new! My Broadway experience however will definitely go down as one of the happiest times in my life.
