Fortune has brought me to Washington, DC to be in the new play "The Heaven's are Hung in Black" by James Still and directed by Stephen Rayne. David Selby stars as Abraham Lincoln, and I'm proud to say he's going to be phenomenal. What could be easily overacted and charactery, Selby is making genuine and familiar. He brings charisma, charm, and warmth to Lincoln, making him paternal , but not without an edge. The pain over the loss of his son Willie underscores the most horrific battle our country has endured. This isn't some Disney production.

I had a very nice walk around DC yesterday, stopping by the White House, the Treasury Department, and finally Trader Joe's. Not much in the way of nightlife in Foggy Bottom though.
