Seagull previews are well underway now. The production is marvelous. Beautiful. While it runs at almost 3 hours, I never want it to end. These heartbreaking characters are written and performed so well that when you watch the show, you leave feeling a bit unsatisfied, longing to know more about them, to talk with them, to do your best to help them. Ian Rickson is an excellent director and I look forward to seeing his Hedda Gabler.

The other standbys are incredibly talented and I'm going to have a lot of fun rehearsing with them.

As of Monday I will be leaving Wellfleet Harbor and the production of Sexual Perversity in Chicago. Lewis Wheeler who did a stellar job in What the Butler Saw at W.H.A.T. will be taking over the role of Danny.

Next week I begin rehearsals to understudy the roles of Yakov, Medvedenko, and Treplev in the Broadway production of The Seagull. This is good news of course but it saddens me to leave WHAT early. I've had such a wonderful summer here and hate the thought of leaving early but this will be a very good opportunity to work with some pretty incredible actors and a director with an outstanding record, Ian Rickson. Check out their website, look at the reviews and come see The Seagull this winter!
