It's a great time up here in Cape Cod. Amanda is visiting me right now and we have been going to the beach nearly every day and I've made it a personal goal to see how many scallops I can stuff in my face. Short Stack opened last week and I think it is going to be a very fun show. We've had several people come up to us afterwards and compliment the work. The show is composed of six one-acts, mostly comical, and at first glance might seem like a sketch comedy show but I think the design and themes involved make it a more specifically stylized piece of theater set in a pre-apocalyptic world. There is a lot of talking to the audience. There are a lot of uncomfortable moments. But the comedy rings through and somehow the audience comes back to accepting us on stage, even if it's in a world they haven't visited before. I think for the audience the show is smart, challenging, and brave and I would imagine people would really enjoy the evening.
ok. that's my review from the inside. Come see it already.
