Things are going well in the Big Cold Apple for the most part. The Broadway strike is an insistent controversy that won't seem to go away, not even for Thanksgiving. Our show isn't affected by it but a few of my friends are out of work temporarily (let's hope). I feel very lucky to still be working though we only have five more weeks of shows now. Pygmalion is definitely a success though I've been told we won't be extending. Regardless of the strike, regardless of the excellent reviews (and rereviews) our contracts will end on December 16. There's another show booked for the space and we have to be out!
I'm very excited about today. For Thanksgiving festivities we are having a potluck supper between shows. The promise of turkey, sweet potatoes and pumpkin pie make this sweet deal even sweeter. We also are having a hand turkey competition back stage. I don't think mine will fare too well as I put it together last minute, in about 10 minutes but I'm happy to have an entry none the less.

On a sad note, my grandfather passed away last week. He was about as perfect as a grandfather can be. Ernest Andrew Fielding passed away on November 3rd in Kermit Texas. He was quite loved and will be missed by all who knew him.
